Sunday morning rolled around pretty quickly after a fabulous weekend enjoying the beautiful weather, watching Purdue beat Michigan State and spending time with friends. With my family in town, we decided to try out O’Charley’s Sunday brunch. Last weekend I blogged about the latest brunch boom. So this weekend, my parents and I decided to try out another brunch option after church this morning.
O’Charley’s was the perfect location as my parents would later be hopping back onto I-65 to head back home, and it was only a 15 minute drive from campus. The church crowd slowly filled O’Charley’s after they opened at 10 a.m. but we did not have to wait to get a table for six people.
Our O’Charley’s Sunday brunch began when the soft, hot and buttery rolls welcomed us to the table.
The deconstructed breakfast taco made up of a four eggs scrambled with diced chicken, applewood-smoked bacon and Pico de Gallo served on parmesan brunch potatoes topped with cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses, salsa, sour cream, fresh jalapeños and sprinkled with cilantro hit the spot and was delicious. It was also served with fresh fruit and flour tortillas.
Another favorite was the ultimate omelet. It consisted of four eggs prepared into an omelet with ham, onions, peppers and cheddar cheese. The omelet was served with parmesan brunch potatoes, fresh fruit and a choice of white or wheat toast.
My parents ate an early breakfast so they decided to order the Prime Rib Lovers’ Weekend for Two. They both received a half pound cut of prime rib, a side, and they shared an appetizer. The delicious and filling meal was only $13.99 per person. This weekend deal runs all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday while it lasts.
We were thoroughly impressed and left extremely satisfied with full stomachs.
